The addition of this medical assembly standard complements the division’s existing quality system that was previously certified to the ISO 9001: 2000 and AS9100 levels.

ISO 13485:2003 is an ISO standard that specifies the requirements for the quality  management systems of an organization engaged in the manufacture of medical devices or related services. Based on the ISO 9001 international quality standard, ISO 13485  requires additional controls to address the safety and regulatory requirements of medical devices and related services.
